Intermittent administration produces an anabolic response on bone formation — the opposite of the catabolic effect of continuous PTH elevation. It is the reference osteoanabolic compound. What is the typical Teriparatide dose?
The standard reference protocol uses 20 mcg subcutaneously once daily. A 10mg vial reconstituted with 2mL bacteriostatic water yields 500 mcg per 0.1mL — so a 20 mcg dose equals 0.004mL, which is impractical on insulin syringes. Most users dilute further: reconstituting 10mg in 10mL bacteriostatic water yields 1mg per mL (100 mcg per 0.1mL).
